About
I am a Latin American markets analyst with over ten years of experience covering the region's political, economic, and geopolitical dynamics. My work focuses on the forces that shape business environments across Latin America — from commodity cycles and trade policy to electoral risk and regulatory change.
My academic background spans several institutions with a dedicated focus on the region: IHEAL and IRIS in Paris, the University of Tours, and Universidad de la República in Montevideo. My research has concentrated on regional integration (including work on NAFTA and Mercosur) and on the structural role of transport infrastructure in Latin American development.
Based in Santiago, Chile, I work across several sectors where the region's trajectory is most consequential: mining and critical minerals, renewable energy, agriculture, and transport infrastructure. This on-the-ground presence informs everything I write. Latinsight reflects what I see and analyse directly.
Latinsight is my platform for independent analysis, built on analytical rigour and editorial independence. It is written for investors, executives, advisors and the general public who need a clear, grounded perspective on a region that rewards those who understand it well.
